As a recent addition to TCDM’s faculty, Dr. Jeffrey Rabinowitz shares that he greatly enjoys the bright and motivated D3 and D4 students that he works with and their excitement with the transition to providing patient care. At Touro Dental Health, Dr. Rabinowitz says he strives to impart them with an appreciation and understanding of the connections between patients’ dental, medical, and emotional health. He focuses on interrelationships between the restorative, occlusal and periodontal aspects of diagnosis and care, stressing to students the importance of looking at the “big picture” in developing treatment plans that address all individual patient’s dental needs.

Dr. Rabinowitz is highly experienced in restorative dentistry and dental surgery/implantology, having pursued fellowship training in implantology and parenteral sedation along with ongoing advanced education in surgery, grafting and prosthodontics. He has taught residents at Mount Sinai Medical Center and mentored associates at his practice for many years. He welcomes the opportunity to educate dental students, recalling his own dental school experience and the challenges of transitioning to patient care.

Fun Facts: Dr. Rabinowitz and his wife have two sons who are both in college at Indiana and Binghamton Universities, sharing that he loved coaching them in sports. Dr. Rabinowitz’s other loves include playing golf, skiing, reading, traveling and the New York Giants.

“I remember very well as a dental student the importance of having a few excellent teachers and mentors who helped me to become a strong clinician.”
